Outer beauty vs inner beauty

Le’s read a cautionary parable with a title: “Outer beauty vs inner beauty” or Hing Chi.

Zhao Zeng once asked his Master, what is more important in man: external or internal beauty. Chi Hing responded the student:

- Tell me if you need to buy a house but you don’t have enough money. You have to choose whether to buy the beautiful house outwardly, but bleak house or the plain but warm and safe. What would you choose?

- I would prefer a simple externally, but internally a comfortable home.

- What if a vain person, who was proud of his position bought a house, but he didn’t have enough funds to buy a beautiful and comfortable home?

- Asked the question again Hing Chi.

- Perhaps he would prefer external beauty and brilliance facilities - said a student.

- I think you're right - said Hing Chi and said, - but only here, regardless of your choice, once every one of you would have realized that it lacks any beauty or comfort, and would begin to aspire to.

- This means the external and internal beauty is essentially equivalent and valid only in harmony? – Zhao Zeng said.

- You can say so, - replied with a smile Hing Chi - but I think above all that we have always seek to a whole, without losing what already have. After all half will always be only a half.
